The methodology of the training period report
The training period report is a document which
must be looked after carefully, in particular on the form, because
it is often consulted during the process of recruitment for the
continuation of studies or for jobs and allows to judge the rigour
and professionalism of the candidate.
Like the thesis, the training period report includes
a title page, an introduction, a development, a conclusion, some
appendices as well as other optional parts. The whole generally
amounts to twenty to forty pages, plus appendices. The most common
sections parts which one generally finds in the development are
:
The description of the company
The description of the trainee missions and objectives
The means implemented, the difficulties encountered
and the results obtained by the trainee
Confidential information (internal data, personal
names and positions, etc.) do not need to appear in a report,
but they can be exposed during the oral presentation. It can happen
that malevolent people from business schools or Universities collect
reports and then send them to competitors, which is likely to
penalize the trainee, as well as the person who has introduced
her or him in the company.
